NOTICE THAT AN APPLICATION TO ALTER THE VHIA RULES HAS BEEN LODGED WITH THE FAIR WORK COMMISSION
VHIA Members are advised that an application to alter the VHIA Rules has been lodged with the Fair Work Commission.
At its June meeting, the Board resolved to adopt the proposed amendments to the VHIA Rules. The VHIA has taken independent legal advice and has consulted extensively with the Fair Work Commission in producing these proposed changes to the VHIA Rules. It should be made clear that NONE of the proposed Rule amendments materially alter the manner in which VHIA is administered or governed by the Board of VHIA. Any proposal to amend the VHIA Rule requires a Special General Meeting of members to be called at which members will be asked to approve the proposed amendments to the Rules. Accordingly, a Special General Meeting was held on Friday, 22 July 2016 at 9.30am at which the members voted unanimously that the proposed changes be approved.
